VIETNAM - AMERICA CULTURAL EXCHANGE
In
addition to the official English-teaching curriculum, the Apollo Education
& Training Organization in Vietnam also organises a range of interesting
activities to provide its students with a wide range of social knowledge as
well as to create practical situations in which to practice their English
communication skill. on the 22nd of July, 2008, in collaboration with
“HOP TAC TRE” Company, Apollo held an extremely successful cultural exchange
meeting between Apollo students and a group of American students at its Tran
Xuan Hoa branch located at 7-9-11 Trần Xuân Hòa, District 5. Through
this meeting, the students from Vietnam and America have widened their
knowledge by sharing their country’s culture, and participating in social
activities such as presentations and informal talks. The meeting was held in the
spirit of learning and exchanging knowledge creating an intimate and friendly
atmosphere between the students from 2 countries. This
extra curricular activity is clearly seen as a useful playground for Apollo
students to improve their English speaking skill as they have time to
communicate, take part in musical performances, and play several interesting
games with American students who are of the same age. No-one
in the meeting could stop laughing while enjoying the creative performances.
The atmosphere heated up when the students took part in traditional games such
as: “Qua cầu khỉ”, “B>ịt mắt đập niêu”, “Uốn mình qua xà”. At
the end of the meeting, every student felt joyful and excited but they also
couldn’t help feeling sad when saying goodbye to their new friends who live on
the other side of the world.
