Vietnamese students wishing to study full-time in Singapore are required to apply for a Student's Pass from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Applicants must meet the following basic requirements: - You must be accepted by an approved Singapore institution to study an approved full-time course.
- A local sponsor is required, unless you plan to study at a polytechnic or university. The local sponsor can be the educational institution where you will study or a Singapore Citizen/Singapore PR above the age of 21.
- Your application for the Student's Pass must be submitted at least 2 months in advance and not more than six months from the course start date.
The normal processing time for the Student’s Pass is about 4 weeks, although some applications may take a longer time to process. The documents required for a Student’s Pass application vary slightly according to the type of institution where you will study. However, all types of institutions require the following documents: - An original copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the school where you will study, addressed to the ICA, issued not more than one month before the date you submit your application
